I do agree that kids will be kids so I try to visit the library when school is in session. That said, Oak Park Public Library has a very professional, helpful, and polite staff. A very good experience whenever I visit.
The first thing i loved was they service
Oak Park is a very good Library. There was a young lady in the library one day speaking on her telephone very loud about her baby father and she was cursing as well, a Gentleman told her he was not having it not today. She got quiet then. The Teenagers are not rude nor are they disrespectful. They will hold the door for you and speak to you as well.
This library is great. The computer lab is a little elbow to elbow- but it's not bad. Lots of good reading material and DVDs. Excellent staff!!
Decent internet, but this library will eat your money, $1 for every hour of use if you don't have a card, and you're not welcome in the library if you aren't reading, using a computer (whether it's theirs or your own) checking out books, or doing homework. If you aren't doing any of these, you will be kicked out. It's an OK library, but I wouldn't suggest it.
